Our Directors have been involved in the Perth property and construction industry for a combined 50 years.

James Priestly
Managing Director 

James has a construction background with over a decades’ experience operating in both the commercial and residential sectors. He is a licensed Land Valuer, a registered Real Estate and Business Sales Representative and is a Certified Development Practitioner with the Australian Property Institute. James has over 8 years’ experience in the development and property industry. His areas of expertise include, development and project management, residential and commercial construction, residential and commercial property valuations, market research, due diligence studies, acquisitions, sales, marketing and commercial leasing.

He has been involved the successful start-up of numerous property companies, has raised capital for a number of development projects and completed due diligence studies for developments with values up to $120 million. James has been responsible for managing various property developments ranging in value from $1.5 million to over $100 million. James is a skillful marketer and has led the restructuring of sales and marketing processes for multiple development companies and has developed marketing campaigns for a number of residential projects. James is a skilled negotiator and well versed in the sale of residential property and commercial leasing. He has overseen the sale of over 200 residential properties over the last five years.

Jim Priestly
Director & Licensee 

Jim has over 30 years’ corporate and business experience, operating as a Certified Practicing Accountant and licensed Real Estate and Business Agent for over 25 years. Jim holds a degree in Property Valuation, a Master of Business Administration and worked as an academic, lecturing in real estate negotiation and business performance at Curtin University. 

Jim has been heavily involved in land and timber developments for various public and private companies in New South Wales and Western Australia. Many of these holdings now comprise substantial and fully-grown plantation forests. 

Jim has extensive experience in property development and has overseen multiple projects including the development of commercial buildings, industrial and residential subdivisions and high-end built form residential projects. He has also consulted in the conceptual, feasibility, and development management phases of resort projects and for several start-up development companies.  Jim has operated a real estate agency for over 12 years and is now a Director and Licensee for MGP Property. 

Rob Singh
Office Manager

With 23 years financial services experience gained from multiple roles including as a Financial Adviser with Macquarie Bank in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne, along with other banks and stockbroking institutions, Rob’s wholistic experience compliments the mission of MGP Property.

Rob has completed a Bachelor of Science from the University of Otago, Dunedin New Zealand and Master of Commerce from The University of Queensland. He now joins MGP Property after being with one of Australia’s largest listed property groups.

Rob’s natural character embodies all the core values at MGP. He is a highly diligent professional and operates with a great level of integrity. Ever keen to assist, our Office Manager Rob is involved in every division of MGP; including Sales and Leasing, Property Development, Project Marketing and Office Operations.

Meg O’Brien
Senior Sales Executive

Meg is an experienced and results driven property specialist based in the Mount Pleasant and Ardross area. Having grown up in Mount Pleasant herself, Meg has an intimate understanding of the community and the local property market. Meg’s local knowledge combined with her character and experience as a Real Estate Professional, allows her to naturally deliver a service to her clients that is  above and beyond typical expectations. Meg’s experience over 16 years is diverse, spanning across residential real estate including luxury bespoke homes, building and design consultancy, and project sales with one of Australia’s top ASX50 listed Property Developers. Meg, now a Senior Sales Executive at MGP, has received recognition in multi-million dollar categories at the Real Estate Institute of WA Awards.
