Applecross is a fashionista and food lover’s delight. You’ll enjoy many boutique clothes stores and coffee shops located at the Applecross Village on Ardross Street. The suburb is also home to the South of Perth Yacht Club, Applecross Tennis Club, Applecross Football Club, Waylen Bay Sea Scout Group, many parks and reserves spanning the Swan River foreshore and let’s not forget the popular kitesurfing and windsurfing opportunities along Melville Beach Parade.

One park which is a favourite for kids is Goolugatup Heathcote on Duncraig Road. This has one of the first few ‘super playgrounds’ around town after it was extensively renovated in 2017. The playground features a huge pirate ship where kids can let their imaginations run wild! Facilities around the playground include toilets, drinking fountains, a number of BBQ pits, plenty of grass/benches for picnics and birthday parties plus panoramic views across the Swan River. There is also an onsite restaurant with adjacent takeaway food kiosk, and there’s plenty of parking available.
