Along the midpoint of Mount Pleasant’s banks to the Canning River, Deep Water Point is a favourite destination for locals. In warmer weather, Deep Water Point is filled from sun up to sun down with rowers, water skiers, kayakers, jet skis and the odd fishing boat. Pretty much any water sport you can think of can be enjoyed here, with excellent boat ramp facilities on offer. Families will enjoy picnics and barbeques on the foreshore at Deep Water Point, and the kids can enjoy a swim in the shallows.

Along the edge of the river is an excellent walking and cycling circuit that is always busy with kids, fitness junkies, cyclists and dog walkers, many of whom enjoy the Bridge to Bridge trail that crosses both the Canning and Mount Henry bridges. There’s also a great outdoor gym at Mount Henry Bridge Reserve.

To refuel after a workout, Mount Pleasant is home to several excellent food spots near the Canning Bridge precinct, made even better by the fact that you can easily walk or ride a bike to them.
