As coffee-loving locals who depend on our daily kickstart, we’re excited to share our favorite cafés right here in the City of Melville. Each of these tried-and-tested spots offer way more more than just James’ favourite – orange mocha frappuchino 😉
The Neighbourhood – Attadale
The Neighbourhood in Attadale is our go-to for excellent coffee and stunningly beautiful brunches. Hugely popular with the locals they also draw a crowd from further afar who have heard about their must-try menu alongside their consistently good coffee – AND they even have a bottle-shop so you can take away something with a bit more kick to sip on later in the day.
Grouch & Co – Myaree
Brain-child of the formidable cafe entrepreneur Renata, Grouch is much more than just divine coffee in a cool industrial-style setting. Taking things to the next level they roast their own coffee, offer barista courses, and recently have been holding cocktail nights at the cafe. The staff here are passionate about their craft and have garnered a cult following – so much so that they have their own (very funky) rage of merch in store – you need to check this one out!
Praline – Mount Pleasant
If you like your latte with a side of the best croissant in Perth – look no further. Praline by Maison St Honore bring the best of Paris to our Sunday mornings (or any other morning you feel a hankering for a cheesey, bechamel Croque Monssieur – drool…). They also make and sell some of the most beautiful cakes, freshest macarons and dreamy crepes going, as well as a offering a gorgeous high-tea – be sure to book this one in.
Kona Cafe
New kids on the block – Kona Cafe are bringing a unique twist on the usual brunch fare with an Asian inspired menu along-side deliciously creamy barista coffee. If crunchy crab potato rosti (pictured) or spicy beans with poached eggs served with naan bread sound like your jam, come along and find yourself a seat in their freshly kitted-out new venue – and enjoy! Located conveniently close to our office too so we’ll see you there!
These are just a few of the local venues that make the City of Melville an enviable place to live, each offering more than you would expect from your local coffee shop – all in our own backyard.
